💜 Love Me While I’m Still Here
Sometimes it takes losing someone or watching others go through that loss to realize just how much we hold back. We wait for the “right moment.” We assume people know how we feel. We think there will always be more time.
But the truth is, time doesn’t wait for any of us. And too often, love is spoken in eulogies instead of in the living room. Flowers are delivered to graves instead of hands that are still warm. Tears are poured into funerals instead of into the arms of those who are still here❤️🩹😩
This is why I wrote this. A reminder to myself, and maybe to you too: love doesn’t belong in the future it belongs right now.
💐 Love Me While I’m Still Here
Don’t save your roses for my grave.
Don’t let your tears wait for my funeral.
If I matter to you, show me now.
Love me now❤️
See me now.
Hold my hand.
Say the words.
Make the time.
Pick up the phone.
Send the text.
We’re all busy. Life will always be full. But the truth is, the “someday” we keep waiting for isn’t guaranteed.
Show me I matter to you not in grand gestures or perfect speeches after I’m gone, but in the messy, beautiful everyday moments we have right now.
Because the hugs you give me today, ❤️🩹 the laughter we share in this moment, the stories, the silliness, the quiet presence these are the things that stay. These are the things that heal. These are the things that say:
You are seen. You are loved. You matter.
Don’t wait until I’m a memory to tell me what’s in your heart. Don’t wait until the world grows quiet to finally speak up.
Love me while I’m still here in my imperfect, real, breathing life.
Love me with your presence, your patience, your attention.
Because your love, right now, is the most beautiful gift you could ever give me.
And it’s also the only gift I can actually hold in my hands.
✨ Your Turn: Who do you need to call today? Who needs to hear your “I love you” or your “I’m proud of you”? Don’t wait. Love them while they’re still here.
